nighttime in november

This photo was inspired by BJD-Sparks November word:
nyctophobia  (nik-tah-FOH-bee-ah)  n.  an abnormal fear of darkness or nighttime.

This photo is more about illuminating the darkness and making it less threatening than actual fear of darkness. Chiko has a very radiant personality, so with a little smile or magic she could bring light to any dark or grim situation. With her around, there would not be need to be afraid of the dark. ^^

A single strand of fairylights wrapped in tulle was used as a light source for this photo, otherwise the room was pitch black. I took it as a challenge to take advantage of this time of the year, when there's barely 5 hours of daylight here in Finland. I usually don't take many photos during winter because of the lack of daylight, but maybe instead I should try to learn how to use artificial lights to create interesting scenes, like this one.
