Lately I've been wondering why on earth is it so hard for me to take portrait photos of my dolls. I usually end up with full body photos, because I like to show the doll's full pose, clothing and surroundings. On the other hand I lust over detailed portraits with beautiful light, emotive colors and great focus. Here's a little collection of some bjd portraits I find really inspiring. Hopefully they will inspire you too! ♥

BJD photo feature 8/2016 + life update
It's been a while, hasn't it? ^_^
September turned out to be kind of a hard time for me, and I got a bit bored with my dolls after working on them intensively throughout the summer. October went by in a flash, and in the end I didn't have time or energy to do any of the autumn or halloween bjd shoots that I hoped for! But at least October gave me one thing I've been waiting for a long while: a job as a graphic designer! I've been unemployed for over a year, so it's a big and very welcome change. Unfortunately I'll have even less time for dolls from now on, but hopefully I can still post photos and journals every now and then. ❤

I've had this collection of beautiful doll photos waiting to be posted once spring arrives, but then I forgot to post it! D: But here it is now, and I hope you enjoy it and find new photos to favorite and new doll photographers to follow. I chose these photos because they have a feeling of warm days and mysterious light nights. ♥
I seem to take most of my doll photos during late summer/autumn and winter, even though during summer there would be a lot more light and it would be a lot nicer to spend time outside. What's your favorite season for doll photos?
